In recent years, we have furthered our education in the green industry. Keeping chemicals safe for the environment is crucial. A majority of the products we use are completely biodegradable and safe for the earth. We are also on the edge of new products and technology that are released. Green chemicals and non-harmful methods of treating your lawn are constantly being developed, and we do our best to keep up with the latest information, training, and certification.
We are proud to be members of the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association (INLA), and our President, Kevin, serves as a director. The INLA is a non-profit organization that has been supporting Indiana’s Green Industry for more than 90 years by advocating for “fair trade practices, customer service, and overall excellence.”
In January 2009, Blade Cutters, in association with local colleagues, developed the Northwest Indiana Landscapers Association (NWILA). After numerous discussions between companies in the area, we formed an organization built on integrity, passion, and raising the standards for the landscaping industry in our area. While the NWILA is no longer active, we continue to work closely with our colleagues to further education and the sharing of best practices in the local landscaping industry.
Our commitment to continual improvement is another way for the clients to see how dedicated we are to the industry. We want the customers to know that they are not hiring a fly-by-night landscaping construction company, but instead a knowledgeable contractor. Like all competition, the customers will have better pricing in a competitive market with only the most educated companies installing a project or providing a service. Look for the NWILA sign when contracting a Landscaper.
